It's a good thing I do my research. This beach is by reservation only and you can't get a reservation the day of! Our only challenge was picking the right time slot, and it worked out really well. It's the only black sand beach on Maui. As you can see, a lot of it was very small stone. We spent quite a while here exploring and throwing things that washed up back in the ocean.
