Moving Day

Grandma and Pa are headed back to North Carolina so we headed to the farm to see them off. Gramps just arrived last week so it was good to see him there and everyone else. We also got to play with Amber's sweet doggy Riven, see what Gramps has for sale in his woodworking shop, and go for a walk. 

 

Gingerbread Smash

 

Sometimes when I try to post, it inserts all of the photos in reverse order. So today, you can see the rewind. There were ants, things were turning sticky- it was well past time to take care of the gingerbread. We took it outside and gave a prime spot to David, Stitches, and Steve so they could see the action. Ethan removed the toys, put them in a bucket to soak and went to work with the bat. Once the gingerbread was removed from the cardboard, we gathered all the trash, left all the gingerbread, and set up the trail cam. We will see what happens!

Father's Day

 It was too cold for me, but Ethan and James enjoyed some pool time on Father's Day. 

8th Grade Graduation

 

I don't know which of us was happier that school was finally over for the year. It was a long slog. They postponed the ceremony from Tues. to Wed. and they wound up with a really nice day. The kids were under a tent, the parents who paid for it were in the sun-seems about right. :P I'm not at all biased when I say that the jazz band was the best part. They played chameleon by Herbie Hancock and they did a fantastic job.
