Weekend
Saturday Ethan's soccer game was cancelled because park and rec closed the fields- they were pretty soggy- so we headed to Farm Day at Flanders and met up with Jeff, Mandy and the kids heading in. We had fun exploring the farm. We saw a day old calf, lots of other animals, and some farm tools. There were also tractors to ride on which is always a hit. The best part was that when we got on the "hay" ride (there is actually no hay on the wagon) there was a car stuck in our path. The tractor pulling the wagon hitched up a chain to the car and pulled it out of the mud while we were on the wagon. The kids thought that was pretty amazing.
Sunday we headed to the farm to spend the day with Gramps. Cousin Jonathan was there too, so Ethan had great time learning what noogies are among other things. We rode in the ranger, dug up some flowers to transplant and found out what state those frog eggs are in- loads of tadpoles. We saw a few salamanders as well. We even manged to get all of our plants in the ground when we got back home- some hastas, daffodils, lillies, and a few other things I couldn't identify but that looked pretty.

A day at a farm is always a good time and you got to spend all weekend at one farm or another! Glad you had fun and the weather was cooperating. Thanks for the pics and the updates. Love, Grandma Jo
