Puppies, Pooters, and Puzzles

Today we visited the Apple Festival at the South Britain Congregational Church. It's the old part of Southbury. At first Ethan was a little unhappy because he had to sit in his stroller, but once we found the baked goods and he got to have a donut, things looked up. We then wandered through the craft area where we found a Halloween gourd painted like a ghost. Ethan even got a tiny paper bag with handles to carry it in. Then we found a lady who did a ton of things with yarn, most of it looked like crochet. She had some great little animals and dolls. That's where Ethan found "Stripes" his new puppy. He also found a present for a friend. We entered a few raffles, then came home for lunch and naptime. When that was over, we played with Stripes and with the new puzzle Ethan got from his Aunt Susan and Uncle John. You can see that as usual he enjoys the box it came in as much as the puzzle. He also played the ABC song on his new "pooter" which he got from Aunt Linda and Uncle Louis. He actually got two, the other one is called "other pooter."

Friday morning Ethan had his two year old check up at the doctor's office. He did great. He is 25 1/2lbs and 34" tall. He got to stand on the grown-up scale and he stood up to have his height measured. He had one shot and they took blood from his toe to check his iron. The shot was the harder of the two to take. He got two train stickers so that made him happy. He's definitely feeling the twos, he is starting to exert his independence and make sure we know that he's in charge (or expects to be).

Ethan, I loooove your new puppy.. He is soooo cute. I like his name too. It sounds like you and mama had a good time at the apple festival. You are getting to be such a big boy and so tall. Love that smile hugs to you. We love you.

Ethan,
We are glad you like your new "pooters". We hope they help you learn many things along with having fun with them.
We also love your new puppy. He is the best kind of all because you don't have to feed him or hear him bark. Maybe one day you can meet our two puppies named Daisy and Gizmo.

love you
