Happy Halloween!!

Ethan had quite a day. This morning we ran a few errands to get ready for the playgroup Halloween party. Ethan and I attended that, and you can see him in the right hand corner making himself to home in his friend Chloe's play kitchen. I think we chose the right costume! We didn't get to stay too long because of nap time. We went home for lunch and a nap, then we carved Ethan's pumpkin. Well, I carved, he and James sorted out the seeds and washed them. Ethan approved the design on the face though. He hopes Gramps and Granny will like what we did with the great pumpkin they grew for him. The only thing he didn't let me do is draw on his mustache, but if you can't tell he was dressed up as the Swedish Chef from the Muppet Show. One lady who asked which chef he was said "Bork-a-Bork-a-Bork" with Ethan after he told her. People at every house oooohed and aahhhed at his costume, and I think they were surprised at the two year old who said "thank you" every time something dropped in his bucket. It sometimes took prompting, but he did it. You may be able to tell we went to Auntie Mandy and Uncle Jeff's for the trick-or-treat part, their neighborhood is more conducive to that, there are houses close together and sidewalks. We also brought our pumpkin there so that people would see it. He even got to sleep about an hour late, which is really on time if you consider the "fall back." Now hopefully that will help him wake up later....

You make an impressive chef, Ethan, and what lovely manners you have saying thank you to each person giving you a treat. Aunt Mandy and Uncle Jeff are so lucky to have gotten to see you in your costume! I bet they were happy to go "trick or treating" with you.
Enjoy those treats, Ethan!
