Visiting Cousins

Ethan got to hang out with his cousins Amber and Jonathan this weekend, and his Uncle Tom. He had a lot of fun with airplane rides from Amber, and laughing at Jonathan. We have been telling Jonathan for years that James would take him fishing on his father's boat, and just never made it happen. This year, for his birthday, we told him we would set a date and do it. So they went on the boat, and Jonathan was the only one to catch anything. He had to throw back a very large striped bass, it was two inches shy of the size it needed to be to keep. The evidence is in my freezer of the bluefish they caught, they forgot to take them home! Amber and I spent the day at the Connecticut Junior Republic Open House Tour where we served as hostesses in the Julius Deming House. It was pretty amazing. Julie came over to babysit for Ethan. He loves hanging out with Julie. I asked him if he remembered her, and if she was fun, and he said "NICE!" The Bernie Mac way. When we got home we all went out for pizza and ice cream. Jonathan's ice cream was too big and he had the rest for breakfast- I warned them about the portions, but I don't think they really believed me! We had a pancake breakfast this morning, and then they all went home.
